So sorry this had to happen when you are so close to home. As you need to be home by Friday I am thinking your night with the Tiltons will be your last overnight on the road so I guess we should be thankful for that. Have a good night, don't let this upset you. You will be home soon and can have things seen to then. We are all looking forward to your safe arrival in Windsor but partly sorry to see the end of this fascinating blog. I am proud to have a daughter brave enough to do this, and a little envious I have never been that adventurous. You will have nothing but good things ahead of you now that you realize your capabilities. You are onward, upward and undauntable!!!

Chris, great tune and thanks so much for the kind words!

...but, YOU are the reason! I think you jinxed me with that comment - the bumper on my trailer, like, just FELL OFF, dragging on the road, with the spare tire attached, it dragged too. Had to tear the whole thing off and store it in the trailer. !!

Congradulations Sandi you did it!! Well, I shouldnt speak too soon and jinx you, you still have another day or two of driving ahead of you still, but your in the home stretch baby!! Many of us have lived vicariously through you and this little adventure of yours, and to be honest, I am going to miss getting up in the morning with my coffee and reading your blog everyday and looking at the pictures you have taken. Its the end of a road trip for alot of us. I just wanted to tell you how proud I am of you, and I am just glad you made it through all your little adventures unscathed and still in good health and spirits. Your road trip has inspired me (and no doubt countless others) to stop just thinking about doing something we have always wanted to do, and actually start to make new exciting plans for adventure. I wish you the best of success with future gallery exhibits and everything else you have planned. Now lets listen to some music!!! XO Chris

Thanks, Peggy! It was great spending time with you, too. Thanks for the hospitality, again!!

Also: I had just looked up Sonic right before I read your comment, in fact. Apparently there are Sonics in the Detroit area, so crisis averted! :)

Glad to see you made it as far as Springfield. Did you find a Sonic along the way for a frito chili pie and cherry limeade? I checked the Sonic website, and it looks like you better find one before St. Louis. GPS can help you find one just off the interstate at St. Robert, St. James, Cuba, or Sullivan, MO. Enjoy!
